It's been seven years since you left me and from that day on my love have been unrequited. It still seems like only yesterday. I still rummaged through old memories where we used to laugh and play, how you hold me in the midst of thunder and lightning, how you taught me to be strong, loving and caring.
Today, on your birthday, I looked back with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I have not been the best of me to make you proud. But I do know for sure that there's a gleam in your eyes for what I am today. I know that you are happy up above singing with the angels.
